7. What the Policy Covers

The Free Excess Protection Policy provides reimbursement of up to £500 of unrecoverable excess that you have paid following settlement of a valid claim under your van insurance policy.

To qualify for reimbursement:

If you make a claim, you must pay the full excess required by your van insurance policy (any compulsory and voluntary excess combined) upfront. The Free Excess Protection Policy can reimburse you up to £500 of this amount after your claim has been settled. If your total combined excess is more than £500, you will still need to pay the full amount at the time of the claim and will only be reimbursed up to £500. Please make sure you choose a combined excess level (compulsory PLUS voluntary) that you can afford to pay upfront if you need to make a claim.
