Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles continues to gain ground with its line of commercial vehicles. For the past five months Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has seen an increase in their share of the market, and has went from being in third place to second place in having the best-selling van range in the up to 7.4 tonne category; this is for the five months from September to October.

During the month of September, the total number of registrations for Volkswagen vans in the up to 7.4 tonne category increased by 9 per cent, when compared to September 2008. This increase is the result of increasing sales of Transporter and Caddy (this includes Caddy Max). Sales of the Transporter rose 6 per cent, while sales of the Caddy increased by 28 per cent.
Overall, sales of vans up to 7.4 tonnes were down by 40 per cent for the year to the end of September. However, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has been able to boost its market share 2.3 percent to 10.65 per cent when compared to the same time period of the previous year.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is a seller of new and used vans, which includes vans such as the VW Transporter, the California, the VW Caddy, the Carevelle, and the Crafter.
