Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is extending an invitation to attendees of the GTI International Event who are users of the latest location social networking experience, foursquare, to come by their stand and check-in at the event to be held on the 26th and 27th of June. If there are enough attendees that check-in at the GTI International Event, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles could cause the greatest foursquare social gathering in the United Kingdom and earn a foursquare ‘swarm badge’ for every participant. Those who check-in at the foursquare stand will get a free Volkswagen T-shirt or poster.

The GTI International event is the United Kingdoms is the biggest event for fans of high-performance vehicles from the Volkswagen Group and is held at the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. Those attending the event have the option of overnight camping, can present their pride ‘n’ joy in a show and shine, participate in a quarter of a mile sprint and roam through the exhibition stands.
One of the main attractions at the event will be the bright orange coloured Volkswagen RAC Caddy Racer van that is at present competing in the Volkswagen Racing Cup. The Caddy Racer van will be displayed along side of other Volkswagen van models, including the new Caravelle people carrier and California campervan.
For attendees to be eligible for a free VW T-shirt or poster, they should register or log in at foursquare.com and come by the Volkswagen Commercial foursquare stand at the GTI International Event and check-in at the Volkswagen Commercial stand and provide proof that they have registered to a member of the Volkswagen staff at the stand.
