Van drivers happy to use friendly fuels
In light of recent figures released today, van drivers would have no problem using more environmentally friendly fuels.

In a poll of 2,000 of their customers, Swinton Vans, one of the top UK van insurance brokers, discovered that 87% of them would choose more environmentally friendly fuel if they found it to be more fuel-efficient. The poll also revealed that 73% of their customers would for their next van purchase consider a more fuel-efficient van, but just as in the environmentally fuel issue it would depend upon the cost of the van and its running cost.
When van drivers were asked for the main reasons why that they would not purchase an environmentally friendly van, 64% said that cost was the main issue, and 13% said that they did not have enough information on the subject.
The three most popular green characteristics found among van drivers are:
Biologically manufactured fuels.
Engines with greater fuel efficiency.
Engines with low CO2 emissions.
Phil Moss, who is a manager at Swinton, stated that it is understandable for van drivers to be concerned with cost when choosing a van since they spend so much time on the roadways, whether it is the initial cost or the expense over the long term. He also noted that it is a good thing that many commercial vehicle operators are open-minded about the move towards greener vans and fuels.
