With the United Kingdom experiencing dangerous driving condition due to the heavy amount of snowfall, Swinton Commercial is admonishing drivers to be extra careful out on the streets and if they have an accident with another vehicle to be sure to get the insurance information of the driver of the other vehicle.
Being involved in an accident can be extremely stressful to say the least, during this stress many van drivers fail to get the important details of other drivers involved in the accident. Some of the details that a driver needs to get from another driver involved in an accident are the driver’s name, their address, their home and mobile phone number, and their insurance information. In a study of 1,200 of their van insurance customers, Swinton found that an astounding 15% of drivers involved in an accident with another vehicle did not even get the licence plate number of the other vehicle.
Swinton advises those involved in an accident not to be in the percentage of people who fail to get the needed information from the other driver. Drivers that do this can slow down the claim process or run the risk of not having a claim at all.
