The Volkswagen Caddy Racer Continues to Wow the Fans with Best Result of Season

Volkswagen’s bright orange Caddy racing van, which races in the Volkswagen Racing Cup series, continues to amaze the spectators with the van’s agility and its performance. In the last appearance of the VW Caddy racing van at the Rockingham Raceway, where the bright orange van qualified for the 21st spot on the grid, it moved up through 13 places to an eighth place finish, which was the best performance by the Volkswagen Caddy thus far this season.

Additionally, in the 0-60 sprint challenge that took place at the recent GTI International event, the VW Caddy beat many of the hot hatches with a blistering time of 6.6 seconds. The GTI event is the United Kingdom’s biggest event for the fans of all of Volkswagen’s high-performance vehicles.

The VW Caddy racing van, which is unmistakeable with its orange livery from RAC, the VW Caddy’s sponsor, runs on a 2.0 litre TDI engine that has been enhanced to provide 270 PS and has been fitted to full racing specifications, including a roll cage and stripped on the inside.

In the coming round of the Volkswagen racing Cup at Silverstone to take place on August 14th and 15th, the VW Caddy van will be back on the track, next it will be at Snetterton on August 29th and 30th, then to Brands Hatch on September 25th and 26th, and will finish out the season at Donington Park on October16th and 17th.
