Van drivers in the United Kingdom are depending on their favourite tunes to provide entertainment as thet they travel down the road.

According to an online survey conducted by Swinton Commercial, one of the top commercial van insurance brokers in the United Kingdom, one third of van drivers stated that their music system in their van was one of the luxuries that they felt like that could not do without.
This study by Swinton also revealed that 25% of Swinton customers preferred their satellite navigators as their favourite mod con, and 13% of their customers chose their hands-free mobile device as their number one gadget. The old traditional cup holder did not receive as high a rating as the technological gadgets among Swinton van insurance customers.
The results of the survey of van drivers favourite items were as follows:
1. The vans sound system (30.5%)
2. The vans satellite navigation system (25.9%)
3. The vans climate control system (24.7%)
4. the driver’s hands-free mobile device (12.6%)
5. The traditional cup holder (6.3%)
Phil Moss, of Swinton Commercial stated that van drivers often have valuable items in their vans, everything from tools to driver’s favourite devices including sound systems and navigation systems. He said that Swinton advises van drivers to take their valuables out of their vans at night to reduce the risk of theft, thus saving a possible insurance claim. Moss also stated that van drivers should make sure that their insurance would replace any items that are stolen from their vans.
