Rise in Van Insurance Policies Follow a Surge in UK Van Sales
Swinton Commercial welcomes the recent numbers from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders that reveal an increase in the sales of light commercial vehicles when compared to the early part of 2009, an increase of 11.9% in 2010. According to research done by Swinton, van drivers in the United Kingdom are finally beginning to latch on to the end of the recession as Swinton has seen a major increase in the amount of quotes for van insurance for vehicles that are new registrations.
Swinton has heralded the major increase in production as a huge boost for both the van and the motor industry that have suffered a hard blow during the recent slow economy.
Phil Moss, a Manager at Swinton concurred that the increase in production would probably have a big dramatic effect on the amount of van insurance polices purchased, as customers are looking for quotes on newer models. Phil also related that the motor industry in the United Kingdom is a major part of the economy, which means that rise in van sales is good news for everybody; however, we need to not be complacent and be aware that there are still some tough times ahead of us.
