Renault to manufacture electric Kangoo van
In early November, Renault announced that it would start the production of its electric, zero-emissions Kangoo Van starting in the first part of 2011 at Maubeuge Construction Auto, which is located in the northern part of France.

The electric Kangoo Van is to be manufactured on the same production line as the internal combustion motor editions, the new model will have the advantage of having the same expert workmanship and the same supply line as the current Kangoo. Maubeuge has been a specialist light commercial vehicle plant for two decades and at the present produces the Kangoo, the Kangoo Van, and a three door car known as the Kangoo be bop. The Maubeuge plant is versatile enough to be able to continually adapt to the demand and the diversity of these vehicles; some have short wheelbase, others long, some with side windows, others without, and models with or without tailgates. By choosing this production facility, production should be able to be ramped-up quickly and still maintain high quality
The Kangoo be bop Z.E. and the Kangoo Z.E. were the predecessors of the electric powered Kangoo Van, which will be made with professionals in mind and be mainly for urban and suburban driving.
