In addition to the Most Improved Van of the Year Award, Renault was Highly Commended for their New Master van in the Large Panel Van of the Year category and for their Kangoo Van and Maxi van was short-listed in the Small van of the Year category.
When commenting on the reasoning behind Renault winning the Most Improved van Manufacturer of the Year award, the judges remarked that Renault was getting serious about their van business in the United Kingdom. The judges pointed out that Renault now has a range of vehicles that are very competitive, especially the New Master Van, a vehicle that almost won its category and also that Renault has a dealer network that is awakening to the needs of fleets. It was also noted by the judges that Renault’s van-specific initiatives, which include Renault Pro + and iCare is lifting standards and giving fleets a reason for considering having Renault as a partner.
Darren Payne of Renault stated that Renault was honoured to have been given the award for the Most Improved Van Manufacturer and that they were thrilled that the judges had given them recognition for all the work that had been put into revising all of our LCV range in under two years.
