Nissan’s new NV200 is to hit the streets of Barcelona very soon, as a part of the Catalonian city’s taxi network. Barcelona will be the first European city to receive the taxi, followed by our very own London next year. Available to buy from the 2nd January 2013, the taxi will be powered by a 110hp, 1.5 litre diesel engine and has two sliding doors which gives plenty of space; enough, in fact, for up to four passengers and five large suitcases.
Following an investment of 100 million Euros, and the creation of 700 jobs, the battery-powered version of the van will be created from the end of 2013, with electric taxi models going into production in mid-2014.
