The NV200, the new global van in the small realm of vans was voted the prestigious award of International Van of the Year for 2010 by a group of European journalists who report on commercial vehicles.

In an official statement of the IVoY (International Van of the Year) jury, it was stated that the jury was especially impressed with Nissan’s creation of a small light commercial vehicle that raises the standards in terms of inside space in relation to the outside dimensions.
The deliberations on the winner of the award begin last December when the group of journalists were extended an invitation to an early test drive with Nissan’s engineering team. The process moved forward with the jury obtaining advanced data on the van, which included the Pan-European release in Barcelona; the conclusion of the process was each member of the jury having a NV200 to drive for a week so they could experience the NV200 firsthand.
Senior Vice President of Nissan Motor Company, Andy Palmer stated that Nissan was happy to receive the award of International Van of the Year 2010 as praise for Nissan’s determined effort to produce light commercial vehicles that are innovative and go beyond customer’s expectations. Palmer also said that the NV200 is a global vehicle that combines unrivalled functionality with a design that is both unconventional and attractive as well.
The Nissan NV200 van version is currently available in the United Kingdom with a Combi version to be available early in the next year.
