New Fiat Doblò Wins International Van of the Year Award

The indubitable success and the growing popularity of the new Fiat Doblò Cargo van was proven on September 21 as the new Fiat van received the prestigious International Van of the Year 2011 at the Hanover International Motor Show held in Hanover Germany.

The New Fiat Doblò received 128 points out of a potential 168 from a panel of judges that was comprised of 24 commercial vehicle trade journalists who represented their respective countries. The trophy was awarded during a festive evening that marked the 63rd running of the Hanover International Motor Show, which is acclaimed as the most prominent commercial and industrial vehicle shows in Europe.

The Chairman of the International Van of the Year panel of judges, Pieter Wieman remarked that the panel of judges had found the winning van design impressive on a number of fronts but what impressed them the most was that Fiat had succeeded in broadening the amount of platform and body types to a greater number that any van in their category. Wieman also pointed out that the panel was especially impressed with the broad range of engines and additionally impressed with the driving quality and the great level of comfort that the various versions of the Doblò provide.

The award winning, new Fiat Doblò comes with the option of four low emission Euro four and Euro five engines and in seven different varieties which include the Cargo, Cargo Maxi and the Cargo Maxi SX, the Combi and Combi Maxi and the Platform Cab. This great variety of van versions provides something for a broad range of van consumers.
