Recently on our insurance blog we published an article about weird and funny calls that RAC patrols had encountered on their calls. Some of the calls were just too funny, so here is ‘A Day in the Life of a RAC Patrol-Part Two’. Check these out:

1. The RAC Patrol upon answering a call to a local hospice was mistaken as personal from the morgue sent to retrieve a body. The RAC patrol had went to the hospice for a member whose vehicle was down in the parking lot; when the Patrol told the receptionist that he was there to pickup ‘Mrs. Smith’, he was taken to a room where there was trolley with a body laying on it. The Patrol was thinking about how to handle the situation when the Sister came up who realized a mistake had been made; the sister told the RAC Patrol, “I will get your customer.”
2. One RAC Patrol was called upon to assist a motorist who said that a warning light had lit up on his dashboard. The motorist described the warning light as looking like someone holding a snooker cue; upon answering the call, it was found to be the seat belt warning light. The disturbing thing about this call is that the motorist who made this call was a taxi driver.
3. One member had an interesting inquiry for RAC, a member called in to see if he could extend his coverage to his electric wheelchair.
