Miele, German appliance company, will be using the Volkswagen Transporter to update their fleet of 110 vans. Recently, Miele took delivery of the first batch of vans of an order that Miele placed for 70 of the new VW Transporter vans. As Miele takes delivery of the Transporters, they will be one of the first ones to do so since the new Transporter launched back in January.

With Miele using Volkswagen for their ongoing vehicle replacement programme, it comes as no surprise that Miele has chose to run an exclusive Volkswagen fleet, a red coloured fleet. When giving a reason for using Volkswagen for their fleet needs, Tony Stephens of Miele said that the company needed a reliable fleet and a fleet that could meet the increasing needs of our clients.
Stephens pointed out that the Volkswagen van range had always been a van that was popular among our technicians, and that Miele was happy to upgrade to the new, moreĀ refined Volkswagen Transporter. Stephens also made mention of the consistent, strong resale value of the Transporters and also applauded the new Transporter for its improved gas mileage, for being a quite vehicle, and also cleaner Euro5 emissions; he stated that these features on the new Transporter are due to Volkswagen’s newest version of their 2.0 litre, 4-cylider TDI engine that has replaced the former 2.5 litre 5-cylinder engine.
Other notable features of the new Volkswagen Transporter, are the Electronic Stabilisation Programme, which comes standard across the range, and the visual appeal of the Transporter, which is in sync with Volkswagen passenger car offerings.
Simon Elliot of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles commented that they were happy to find out that the Transport was so popular with Miele and with their technicians who drive them each day. He also went on to comment that they were sure that the forward steps in quality and the refinement of the latest models, with lower running expenses would be appreciated.
