Alex Wright, who is the sales director of commercial vehicles over at Manheim remarked that this sustained rise in wholesale prices has certainly went on longer than it was expected for the prices to increase and that this a clear indicator of how great the demand is for used vans and also of the lack of inventory of late model, low mileage vans.

When these figures are compared with the numbers of February 2009 for the average price of whole sale used vans, the average cost of wholesale used vans has rose by 49.5 per cent or £1,329. Additionally, the average age of the used wholesale vans has rose by two months to 54 months and the average odometer reading has increased by 3,771 miles to 73,896 miles.
