It hasn’t yet gone on sale in the UK, but the Renault Kangoo ZE has already been named the 2012 International Van of the Year. This small electric panel van beat off some strong competition from the likes of the Fiat Ducato to take the title.
This prize-winning van will be available in the UK from 1st December- it has a payload of 650kg and with an electric engine, qualifies for free entry into the London LEZ. The van received high praise from motor industry specialists and jurors of the competition.
Chairman of the Awarding body Jury, Pieter Wieman: “With the Kangoo Van Z.E. Renault brings the electric van within the reach of the normal European van user, thereby delivering a major contribution to environmental sustainability, one of the most important issues of the transport of goods by road nowadays.”
