Ford Transit Transporting “Lions in Transit”
Lions will be seen roaming the streets of Bath over the summer season; no need to be alarmed, “Lions in Transit” will be the livery on a Ford Transit, the long wheelbase Ford Transit will be providing an important role in moving life-size lion sculptures.

The Ford Transit has been provided by Allen Ford of Bath, and will be transporting 100 individually decorated sculptures of lions that will be in various locations in Bath and in the area surrounding Bath. The lions in Bath will be as a promotion for Bath’s World Heritage City status.
The lions positioned around the city are being made into captivating works of art by artists and craft-workers; some of the people who are designing lions of their own are Lord Bath, Olympic champion Amy Williams, and Sir Peter Blake.
The transportation of the lions around the city was quite a problem for Megan Witty, the organiser of the event until Allen Ford provided a solution to the problem by loaning a Ford Transit to haul the decorative lions around the city. Megan Witty commented that they were thrilled that Allan Ford had loaned them the van; we were in dire need for a long wheel base vehicle so we could haul around as many of the cats as possible- with 100 lions logistics can prove to be difficult. Witty also commented that the Ford Transit looked stunning in the livery and was generating a lot of interest in Bath.
