Transit Minibus
The new 14-seat Transit Minibus comes with the option of three different power trains, the options range from the 100PS that has a six-speed transmission up through the 140PS that also has a six-speed transmission; these engines for the new 14-seat Transit Minibus are 2.4 litre engines. This new addition to the range is a 3.5 tonne model and allows drivers to operate it with a category B car licence (based on non-hire and reward). This addition moves the number of minibuses of non category D up to three, which includes a shuttle bus that seats nine, a minibus that seats 12 and a minibus that can seat 14. Additionally, the 17-seat Transit Minibus payload has been upped by 150kg, going from 4.1 tonnes up to 4.25 tonnes.

Transit Upgrades
Beginning in the month of September, all of the rear wheel drive Transits with 100PS through 200PS will have as a standard feature, a six-speed transmission.

The six speed transmissions provide a broader range of gear ratios, which gives better take-off in first gear thus reducing the amount of stress on the clutch, extending the life of the clutch. Additionally, the new six-speed transmissions will provide an improvement in mpg and reduce CO2 numbers
