Clarke had just gotten back from the United States on Friday, but he was in his usual racing form when it came time to hit the track. He took first in both heat races on a 2010 RM-Z250, prior to winning the British final, during which he took the lead position in the beginning and held on to it all the way to the finish. After winning the British Final, Clarke went on to win the SX2 International as well, securing the win on the final lap.
Clarke was pleased with his performance and commented that his bike gave a flawless performance. He went on to say that he felt good in all the heat races and in both finals but that by the time he attempted the SX1 final he was so exhausted that he quit early. Clarke extended a big thank you to the MVR-D team for supporting him in the past two events and hopes that he repaid them with the race results.
The MVR-D team manager, Mark Chamberlain, stated that Steve rode exceptionally well and displayed the potential of the 2010 RM-250. Chamberlain also pointed out that Steve was heading back to the States, but that he would return and join the team for a few races this season.
