Once more Citroën demonstrates that their cars and vans provide some of the most secure vehicles that are out on the roads in the United Kingdom by winning five more awards at the 2010 British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards. This makes a total number of 25 awards that Citroën has received in the BIVSA’s seven year history-this exceeds the awards won by any other vehicle maker.

In the Small Family Car category, the Citroën C4 Exclusive has been a dominating force, as in it has been granted this award for six consecutive years. Top honours were also bestowed on the C6 and the C4 Picasso Exclusive, as they won awards in the Executive Car class and in the Compact Car class. Additionally, the C5 was a winner in the Family Car category, this is third year in a row that they have won this award; the C5 has won this award every year since its initial launch.
Citroën also took home an award in the van category, in only its second year of being included in the awards, the C-Crosser Enterprise kept up its winning streak, as it won the Best 4×4 vans award for the second year in a row.
The security features on Citroën’s vehicles has been an aid in keeping them at the top of the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards list. One such feature is the use of laminated glass that through the use of a glass and plastic film fabrication lets the windows keep its integrity, even after the window has been struck several times; this feature keeps both occupants and cargo safe. The Citroën Crosser-Enterprise van is also equipped with protective side window panels that provide protection against thieves that would take advantage by pulling a smash and grab stunt on the van.
