Central Auto Supplies to Use Citroën Product for Lower Emissions and Fuel Economy
Central Auto Supplies (CAS), an eco-conscious auto parts supplier has just taken delivery of an order of LCV’s from Citroën to make improvements in fuel economy and the emissions of their delivery fleet.

Central Auto Supplies, based in Wellingborough that has 19 depots mostly in the Midlands and East Anglia has purchased from Citroën, 41 of their Nemo 1.4HDi LX vans and two of their Relay 35 L3H2 models. The vans have been provided by Duff Morgan, a Citroën dealer in Norwich.
The Nemo’s were selected for their fuel economy and their low emissions through a rigorous selection process, which was a reflection of the strict requirements of their delivery fleet. As more of the Nemos are expected to become a part of the CAS fleet further on in the year, a large percentage of over half of the more than 100 vehicle fleet will be comprised of Nemos - a van that normally returns over 60mpg in fuel efficiency.
Peter Jipson of CAS explained that CAS has a commitment to a reduction in the size of the environmental footprint of their vehicle fleet, by training their drivers and by specifying the latest in technology. He went on to say that the Nemo, being the most fuel efficient van in the United Kingdom and having the lowest CO2 emissions for a high cube LCV, fit in excellently into our business. Jipson also cited that their drivers would benefit from the comfort of the vans and their safety features.
